The ‘Star Diamond’ Brand – A Series of Brilliant Stars Protected by an International Patent

The Turgeman Mordechai Company produces a unique special cut under the label Star Diamond™ which lives up to its name - a beautifully cut diamond upon which a unique star can be viewed with the naked eye.

The inventor of the Star Diamond – Moti Turgeman – came up with the unique idea of a star cut, and through the use of sophisticated computer software realized that it was indeed possible to produce the complex cut. But then he found out that there was no existing equipment that could manufacture the one-of-a-kind cut. Not one to let a small problem like that stop him, Turgeman planned and built the necessary equipment. The result was a series of breathtaking stars which the market had never seen before.

The Star Diamond, which is protected by an international patent, appears in four different shapes: The Angel Star, with 57 facets, which features a perfect pentagon shaped star; The Wishing Star, with 74 facets, displaying a six-pointed star on its table; the Sun Star, with 97 facets, boasting an eight-pointed star; and the pi?ce de resistance – the Hearts and Star, with 81 facets, which reflects a perfect five-pointed star nestling among five hearts.

Oren, the company’s marketing director, says that regular round stones are used, but he places special emphasis on the product’s uniqueness. “We manufacture these diamonds from thirty points and above in the D-M colors as well as Fancy Colors, according to the customer’s specifications. The brand is protected by an international patent and each diamond is inscribed with a serial number. This is why our goal is to sell exclusivity in countries around the world. Anyone who purchases exclusivity can rest assured that the special cuts that we produce for them will remain their sole property.”

In 2008, exclusivity was bought in England and Italy and as noted, the company continues to seek additional exclusivity partners. All of the stones are accompanied by gemological certificates. Certificates from the GIA, WGI, EGL and HRD can be supplied according to the jewelry manufacturer’s specification.
